Disenfranchised Grief can best be described by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow:
“There is no grief like the grief that does not speak.”
College is a time of significant transition. Many students are living away from home for the first time and have less access to support. Along with increased freedom and new independence, students face greater stress from a variety of sources. The unfortunate fact exists, that many college students are suffering...silently.
The question remains, "Is this normal college life, or disenfranchised grief?"
